The Shuriken® Variax® SR250 guitar is the newest addition to the Shuriken Variax family. Like the longer-scale Shuriken Variax SR270, it resulted from collaboration between Shuriken Guitars, Line 6®, and Yamaha® Guitar Development. The Shuriken Variax SR250 guitar is a modern, high-quality instrument featuring a unique body shape with contoured edges, a 25.5" scale length, an Indian ebony fretboard, a custom mid-gain humbucking pickup, and all of the sonic versatility provided by Variax HD technology. The Shuriken Variax SR250 comes with a Shuriken premium padded gig bag.

Shuriken® Variax® Premium Colors began as a collection of concept finishes displayed at trade shows as alternatives to the standard Satin Black finish, designed to broaden the instrument’s appeal to a wider range of players. As a result of the enthusiastic response to those finishes, Line 6 has made small quantities of Shuriken Variax guitars in premium colors. The Trans-Black finish is only available right here at the Line 6 Webshop.

25.5" SCALE LENGTH

Performing with lowered tunings typically involves playing either a guitar with more than six strings or a baritone guitar. The Shuriken Variax SR250 features a familiar 25.5" scale length, and Variax HD technology enables players to access a variety of alternate tunings without physically changing the tuning of the guitar and while using standard-gauge strings. The Shuriken Variax SR250 also allows guitarists to venture beyond the ranges of conventional 6-, 7-, or even 8-string guitars.

VARIAX HD TECHNOLOGY

Variax HD technology makes it possible to instantly access the sounds of dozens of legendary electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and other fretted instruments with the twist of a knob—and switching between alternate tunings is just as easy. Guitarists can also design custom instruments and tunings, then load them into the guitar as presets using the free Workbench HD application.
